OBJECTIVES: 

  • To safeguard and promote the interests of manufacturers and wholesale distributors.
  • To promote, support or oppose legislation or other measures affecting the interests of the industry.
  • To co-operate and negotiate with Government and other bodies interested or concerned in export and import trade.
  • To promote, maintain and assist scientific research, invention and technical development.
  • To promote, conduct ,manage and co-operate with Associations, Clubs, Societies and other bodies in promoting, conducting or managing shows, exhibitions and demonstrations

MEMBERSHIP PROFILE:

The AEA is a trade association representing manufacturers and importers of agricultural machinery and
outdoor equipment (horticulture, professional and leisure grass care, and forestry).  We operate in two divisions - the Farm Equipment Council and the Outdoor Power Equipment Council.  The membership is categorised as either Full or Associate. The Associate members provide goods or services to the Full members.

CATEGORIES OFMEMBERSHIP:

Full Members:  Manufacturers or importers of equipment for wholesale distribution
Associate Members:  Suppliers of components, accessories or services to Full Members

MEMBERSHIP CONTRIBUTIONS:

Membership contributions are based upon a turnover declaration that is send out every other year so that the turnover declaration is valid for a two year cycle.  We offer three payment options:

  • Annually by cheque or BACS
  • Quarterly by BACS (eight quarterly payments covering the two year cycle – one payment of 30% and seven of 10%.
  • Annually by credit card (subject to a 3% credit card surcharge)
